AMSTERDAM HACKATHON
14–16 February 2025
The Amsterdam Hybrid Hackathon, hosted by TechGrounds in partnership with MolenGeek and TechStation, turned Valentine’s weekend into a celebration of innovation, teamwork, and friendship.
Under the inspiring theme “Connection through Technology,” 125 participants from Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands came together to explore how technology can unite communities and foster collaboration across Europe.
Over three intense and joyful days, participants formed international teams to design applications, tools, and digital prototypes that promote connection, inclusivity, and creativity.
Mentors, coaches, and local entrepreneurs accompanied them every step of the way — sharing their expertise, giving feedback, and helping teams refine their ideas into real, actionable solutions.
The atmosphere was electric: coding sessions mixed with laughter, late-night brainstorming, and shared meals created a space where everyone — whether a beginner or an advanced tech enthusiast — could contribute and grow.
The event concluded with powerful project pitches and a moment of celebration: the winning teams received an all-inclusive trip to Italy to take part in the next international hackathon in Padua.
More than just a competition, this Amsterdam hackathon proved that technology can build bridges, create opportunities, and strengthen European solidarity — one idea at a time.
